TTZ15

We have been mulling around some ideas for the theme of TTZ15 and I wondered whether we could get enough writers to do a feature on fans not from "The Big Five"... ie Britain, US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We've had writing in the past from Finnish and Israeli fans and art from around the world. Would anyone be willing to take this on? Also, I wouldn't limit it to just fans from other countries ... I would include this to looking at Doctor Who stories set in places other than "The Big Five," or having some element not from these cultures. "City of Death" is an easy suggestion; so is "Girl in the Fireplace" and "Let's Kill Hitler." Anyone? Whatever your content, please submit by 12 December to theterriblezodinezine (at) yahoo.co.uk.

The Terrible Zodin # 14 (Summer 2012)

Diddly dum diddly dum diddly dum diddly dum.....

It's the return of The Terrible Zodin with our brand spanking new bumper sized issue 14.

We've been on hiatus (For the good reason, that your Editor Leslie McMurtry is concentrating on her PHD, rather than a bad reason that the fanzine equivalent of Michael Grade has got it in for us!) but we couldn't leave you without at least one issue this year.

TTZ14 is dedicated to all things Doctor Who audio, the aural soundscapes of those unearthly worlds from incidental music to full cast Big Finish plays, and fan audios along the way. We've got Pescatons, Jago and Litefoot and A Death in the Family.

Also this issue we interview Paul Castle (Editor of Shooty Dog Thing); Fear Her gets the No! Not the Mind Probe! treatment and the Back2theWhoture team watch Marco Polo and the Masque of Mandragora.

Featuring all brand new writing and stunning artwork, issue 14 of The Terrible Zodin is a smorgasbord of original voices in the fandom of the Whoniverse.

Enough waffle, dive in, enjoy and please please send us feedback - good OR bad, we'd love to hear from you.

Till the next time.

The Terrible Zodin Doctor Who Meet Up # 2

Following the success of last years meet up, we'll be holding another Doctor Who fan meet up on Saturday 28th April 2012 in London. We'll most likely hold it at The Mayflower Pub in Rotherhithe but we'll confirm closer to the time and will be keeping on TFL's plans for engineering work, as that'll be the decider.

We'd really love to see our contributors and readers there.

Follow the event invitation on Facebook for updates, though we will of course update here as well.

TTZ14 . . . not dead!

Possible theme. Please let us know what you think of this.

In the past, we've had issues dedicated to the Eighth Doctor and to the New Adventures. What if we looked at Doctor Who on audio? I know for me it's a big interest, and we wouldn't, of course, have to restrict ourselves just to Big Finish. There are the Fourth Doctor BBC plays and of course Ghosts of N-Space (for what it's worth!), as well as the talking book adaptations of the novels. As well as the Audio Visuals etc. But that might get monotonous if all we got were reviews. There would need to be other stuff to break it up.

Let us know.

The Terrible Zodin # 13 (Winter 2011/2012)

Happy New Year to all of you from the team at The Terrible Zodin.

As you've all be so good, here's a little treat for you - a BRAND NEW ISSUE!

Photobucket

This issue TTZ13 takes an in-depth look at Season 6 (the Matt Smith one!) with a series of essays and reviews of all episodes up to and including The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe. Old school fans need not worry that we're not catering for them though as we also take a look at Season 6 (the Patrick Troughton one!)

Also this issue we take a look at Polly and the Dolly Bird archetype, the special edition of Day of the Daleks and bring you an exclusive interview with Robert Smith? The truth about that question mark is now revealed!

Meanwhile The Caves of Androzani gets the No! Not the Mind Probe! treatment and the Back2theWhoture gang watch The Crusades and The Kings Demons.

Featuring full colour original artwork throughout and bringing you a varied mix of opinions from the wide spectrum of Doctor Who fandom, The Terrible Zodin has more David Banks for your buck or your money back.

TTZ13 will be the last for at least 6 months (Read the Editor's Note!) but fear not, we WILL return. Thanks to everyone who has contributed to the zine, read the zine and supported the zine over the last three years. We hope you've enjoyed the ride. Feedback most welcome.
